The Myotonic Dystrophy Organization gladly accepts donations in virtually any electronic form. We are a non-profit organization that educates, promotes and advances the care and treatment of individuals with myotonic dystrophy, congenital myotonic dystrophy, and provides information about congenital muscular dystrophy.

Membership in our organization is:

Currently we are an organization in its infancy. We need to bootstrap ourselves to become a fully functioning professional cost efficient organization. Whenever possible we will use web based and electronic medium to accomplish these goals. With your help we will become a great force in the healthcare field that will advance the cause!

If you are in the United States and give to the United Way you can designate the International Myotonic Dystrophy Organization to give all or part of your donation. Please remember us when you are signing up for the United way.

We prefer to accept donations and memberships  by electronic means. Currently we are set up on   papal. This reduces our need for administration and makes our donations more efficient and go farther. Additionally if you are not a member of paypal and sign up the association will receive an additional $5 donation.

Ebay is a web auction site. It allows you to sell items on the world wide  web, people from all over your country can bid on these items. What we would like is that several times per year we will ask our mailing list to auction an item. This money can then be sent to the association to help with our funding. They can be reached at http://www.ebay.com    

We sure that most people have a few items in their house they are not using and would be glad to donate them to the association. Now there is an easy way to turn these items into cash with Ebay auctions and then the money can be sent directly to us.

Also you can ask your friends  and family to donate an item as well. This way we can have a good base of funding for the organization and begin to make more headway into the issues that are important for us.
